NCS Journey of Success
Company Activity Overview
New Curb Solutions (NCS) was established in September 2022, driven by the expertise of its founders in the field of special concrete and concrete repair.
The core mission of NCS is to innovate sustainable solutions and materials for the repair and restoration of street curbs and New Jersey barriers that deteriorated from weather conditions and freezing cycles. The primary product under development involves a durable coating with UV-resistant paint , self-cleaning properties.
The formulation is based on materials such as PVC and acrylonitrile styrene acrylic. A key challenge addressed by the team was ensuring the coating can stick effectively to old concrete, even under mechanical impact or freeze-thaw cycles.
Key Developments and Achievements
Over 200 formulations were tested to achieve an optimal adhesive property for the concrete coating.
In the picture below, you can see a relatively good formula, but it is not final. Some separation happened .
Another experiment and a formula that was better than the previous version.
The final and excellent version for RCP (Repair Cover Product) is ready to be sent to the laboratory. (The Basic concept of SSP (Sustainable Segment Product) is Same)
Three samples with the desired specifications of Razi laboratory in accordance with the devices used to test separation. (diameter 5 Cm)
The final version was submitted to the laboratory by our friend and the result of Razi laboratory is bellowed:
– Initial tests showed varying levels of success.
– A significantly improved formulation was finalized and prepared for submission to the laboratory.
– Samples was meet the laboratory specifications (5 cm diameter) were tested by Razi Laboratory.
– The results demonstrated excellent adhesion, with no separation occurring in the samples under extreme stress conditions.
Expansion of Product Line
– In January 2024, following discussions with Renewable Structures, an agreement was reached for a 20% equity investment in NCS.
– The partnership aims to secure product certifications and further testing.
– Additionally, the company pivoted to developing a repair mortar product for the early stages of exposed concrete damage, as requested by Renewable Structures.
– This new product, ERP (Early time Repair Product), was added into new version of business plan (rev2) and tested with remarkable results.
– The compressive strength of the ERP was measured at 74 MPa, demonstrating durability might exceeding 50 years under harsh conditions.
– Testing was finalized in June and July 2024.
Market Understanding and Business Setup in Canada
To better understand the Canadian market and successfully launch the business in the Canadian work atmosphere, the MTA Incubator, which issued the Letter of Support for our proposal, provided the team with 18 months of continuous training. Fortunately, they validated both our MVP and MVP+ and graduated the company from the program in February 2024.
And this is the last report of MTA for NCS startup company:

MVP and MVP+ of NCS productions were approved by MTA Incubator
Certifications and Approvals
NCS actively seeks Canadian and international certifications to penetrate the market. Key efforts include:
- CCMC Standard system in Canada: As our Incubator suggested we sent email to CCMC to ask to test us for getting Canadian certificate. The answered that they are only work in Building materials not for Urban or roads.
- HORIBA-MIRA (International): While the product was deemed innovative, the institution lacked infrastructure for testing this specific type of product.
- National Research Council of Canada (NRC): A similar response was received regarding testing limitations.4. CCIL (Canada): NCS has provided additional details requested by CCIL and is awaiting further feedback.
Market Presence
-Participated in the North Vancouver Construction Industry Exhibition, receiving significant attention for innovative products. Attendees recognized NCS products as forward-thinking and groundbreaking and environmentally friendly products.
Client Engagements and Partnerships
Client Engagements and Strategic PartnershipsWe have conducted more than 35 meetings with engineering and construction companies across Canada to showcase New Curb Solutions’ innovative products and expertise. These professional presentations—featuring tailored PowerPoints, project visuals, and demonstration videos—have introduced our unique value to the market and created meaningful connections. While formal collaborations are still ahead, these engagements have opened promising opportunities and positioned NCS as a trusted partner for future partnerships in Canada’s engineering community.
Digital Presence
International Opportunities
A Turkish company discovered our website and requested 25 kg of ERP for initial evaluation. Following successful demonstrations to their clients, they proceeded with a purchase of 1,500 kg. The product has since been applied in real projects, and the client has expressed strong satisfaction with its performance. To ensure long-term assessment, they requested that a full year of field application pass before issuing a formal testimonial. As of September 2025, no cracks or defects have been observed, and the feedback remains highly positive, further validating the reliability and quality of ERP.
Professional Development
Because the formulation and products developed by New Curb Solutions are highly engineered solutions with diverse applications—including critical use in structural repair—we chose to evaluate our company from the perspective of our clients. To build full trust and demonstrate the highest level of professional accountability, all core members of NCS committed to obtaining the prestigious Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation from Engineers and Geoscientists BC (EGBC)
In this journey, Mr. Mehdi Saberi has already achieved his P.Eng. designation, and Mr. Payam Hassel has successfully passed all required examinations and is now awaiting final confirmation from EGBC.
NCS Startup Plan for the Upcoming Year
- 1. Obtaining Canadian Product Certification

Exceptional Laboratory Results:
Independent laboratory testing has confirmed outstanding performance of our ERP repair formula. When applied to damaged concrete surfaces, ERP not only restores strength but also creates a bond stronger than the original concrete itself. resulting in superior durability and long-term performance.

Laboratory Test Reports – Early Repair Product (ERP)
Laboratory Test Reports – Early Repair Product (ERP):
Two independent tests were conducted by Accurate Materials Testing & Engineering Ltd. in Coquitlam, BC, to evaluate the mechanical performance of New Curb Solutions’ Early Repair Product (ERP) in accordance with CSA A23.2 and ASTM C109/C496 standards.
- Mortar Compressive Strength Test (CSA A23.2-9C / ASTM C109)
- Age: 7-day & 28-day
- Average Compressive Strength (28-day): 68.8–69.6 MPa
- Consistency: Plastic mix, standard curing conditions (18–24°C)
- Conclusion: ERP mortar achieved significantly higher compressive strength compared with conventional repair mortars.
2. Split Tensile Strength Test (CSA A23.2-13C / ASTM C496M)
- Curing: Standard water tank curing for 28 days
- Specimens: Cylinders (Ø102 mm × 186 mm)
- Result: “More than excellent” performance, demonstrating that the bond strength and durability of ERP applied over damaged concrete surfaces exceeded the strength of the original substrate.
Summary:
ERP delivers superior adhesion, tensile capacity, and compressive strength, making it an ideal solution for long-term structural concrete repair and restoration projects.
